On the 18th April an English night took place in our school for the very first time. A team of English teachers welcomed the students of the 2a and 2f classes at six o’clock in the evening at school. After the students had set up their mattresses and sleeping bags for the night, they split up into three groups and then the fun started. Of course, the teachers only spoke English at their stations and the students could choose what language they wanted to speak. In the kitchen the children could make their own American burgers. It turned out that we’ve got lots of great chefs among our students. During the jeopardy quiz the students had to show their knowledge of the English language and had to compete against each other in teams. There was one more station where the children had to do some easy sport exercises in combination with games like ‘Connect Four’ or ‘Bottle Flip’.
All in all, the evening was a great success and as expected neither the students nor the teachers got a lot of sleep…
